The Frank Partridge VC Military Museum is the largest military museum on the Mid North Coast of New South Wales, dedicated to preserving Australia’s military history. Located in the historic town of Bowraville, it houses a vast collection of artifacts ranging from World War I trench warfare to modern 21st-century combat technology.

Named After a Local Hero

The museum is named in honor of Private Frank John Partridge, a local dairy farmer who became the youngest and last Australian recipient of the Victoria Cross (VC) during World War II. He received the prestigious award for outstanding bravery on 24 July 1945 during the Bougainville Campaign, where he successfully charged and silenced Japanese enemy bunkers despite being severely wounded twice.

• Historic Vehicles: Large machinery on display, including a Bofors anti-aircraft gun, a WWII Jeep, and a Blitz Wagon.
• Research Library: An extensive reference library and reading room available for visitors researching military history or looking up family service records.
